SOS Tartarugas works in Cape Verde protecting nesting loggerheads turtles (Caretta caretta) and their habitat. Cape Verde is the third most important nesting area for loggerheads in the world. Turtles are at risk from hunting for meat, stealing of eggs, removal of sand for building and unregulated tourism development. Our email is info@turtlesos.org.

German speakers needed

It's only the start of February but we are very happy to have received so many outstanding applications for jobs and volunteer position working with turtles in Cabo Verde this summer.

The one nation that is not well represented is Germany.  As so many German tourists visit Cabo Verde it is really important to have a German speaker on our team.  If you speak German & English, have a friendly personality,  like to work with people and would like to work with turtles please get in touch with us soon.
